Mountain Modern
Single Family Home Rebuild, 2269sf
Napa, Ca
After losing their home in the 2018 Nuns fire, the homeowners rebuilt with a focus on sustainable design and fire resiliency, integrating the new residence with the Napa County landscape. The architectural design ensured every room connected to the hillside, while the expansive property includes trails, terraced gardens, an outdoor kitchen, a rooftop overlook, and a stone patio with a hot tub. Fire-resistant materials like metal roofing, dual-glazed windows, and natural stone were extensively used, and a defensible space perimeter was established, combining material selection and landscape management for safe living in a fire-prone environment.
